A Summacut D60U Vinyl cutter aquired by the space with a broken material cam handle; The handle has now been fixed with 3d printing so the unit is fully operational.
The machine is fully software configurable and can also be fitted with a pen instead of a drag knife.
Usage
Before powerup ensure the material loading rollers are lifted. On powerup the D60 should display "Load Media" on it's screen. Once material is loaded and the rollers are dropped you the machine will perform an initial loading after which you can use the machine.
Software
The D60 requires software and drivers which are provided by Summacut on The SummaCut Website. There are other sources which will come up, but thisa is likely the most safe source. There is not a currently known way to drive it from linux or to use open source drivers.
The software control software allows for direct driving from HPGL files, other file types are avalible. Summacut also provides their own tool for generation in the form of Winplot.
If the software fails to correctly load the configuration from the machine, navigate through the menu and reset it's config
