  • Rule 0 - Do not be on fire
Being on fire sucks, and it's not particularly pleasant for those around you - please do your best to avoid it.
  • Rule 1 - Safety first
There are safety glasses, gloves and overalls available in the workshop. Please use them where appropriate. If you're working with any specialist equipment then it's your responsibility to ensure you're appropriately equipped!
Guards on machines are there for a reason - ensure you use them.
  • Rule 2 - If it's covered in green tape, hack it!
You'll find rolls of green insulation tape around the space. If you're donating things which can be hacked then please make use of it, or things will just sit on shelves and nobody will know if items can be used or not.
Obviously the reverse also applies - if you don't want something hacked then please don't use green tape on it! Using green tape in your project because it was the nearest thing to hand is a really bad idea.
  • Rule 3 - Everything is better with lasers.
Duh! Like this needs more explanation.
  • Rule 4 - Don't be dangerous
Do not do anything that may cause harm emotionally or physically to others, anything you do to yourself is an inconvenience.
  • Rule 5 - Keep tidy
No-one wants to clean up after you, if they do, their method of cleaning will be to throw it in the bin! Project or not.
